Twitch streamer Emily “Emiru” Schunk seemingly promoted a “meme coin” on her social media accounts. The posts were fake, and a hacker seemingly seized her Instagram, X and Discord accounts. One of her mods asked her audience not to interact with the posts or invest money in the meme coins.

The posts stayed up for around 30 minutes before Emiru took them down. With a hacker seemingly accessing three of Emiru’s accounts, internet users speculate that her online security may be compromised. She has not addressed the recent hack on her livestream so far.

This is the second time a hacker has targeted a One True King (OTK) member in 2025. Earlier this year, someone hacked Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt’s X account and used it to promote a cryptocurrency right before he left OTK. Other OTK members quickly took down the post and alerted Asmongold’s audience.

Emiru’s Hacked Social Media Accounts Promoted $CHEDDAR Meme Coin

On March 26, 2025, Emiru’s social media accounts posted about the $CHEDDAR meme coin. The posts claimed that the cryptocurrency was named after her pet cat “Cheddar”. The streamer has multiple cats but does not seem to have a pet with the name Cheddar, which alerted her legion of fans. Fans got their first hint indicating it was a scam. The posts said:

“@everyone I’ve been working on something quietly behind the scenes. A little secret project inspired by the softest, cheesiest member of my life — Cheddar, my rescue cat. Say hello to $CHEDDAR, a Solana token created to support cat shelters and adoption centers through livestream donations. Every $CHEDDAR token helps real cats in need, just like Cheddar once was. This isn’t about hype — it’s about heart. And I can’t wait to share more with you.”

The posts also had a blockchain address and a website with instructions on how to purchase the meme coins. Emiru quickly removed the posts, and it is unknown if any of her fans invested money into the scam.

Asmongold Suffered a Similar Hack in January 2025

Emiru is not the only OTK member who suffered a hack this year. On January 21, 2025, someone hacked OTK co-founder and former member Asmongold’s account and posted:

“Guys I am excited to announce my very own official token. The best is yet to come, join us and let the memes begin.”

The tweet contained a web address selling meme cryptocurrencies. The streamer removed the posts, and other OTK members alerted his audience about the hack.

Many internet users accused Asmongold of scamming his audience by faking the situation. Twitch streamer Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker defended his fellow content creator and said:

“No shot. He’s hacked. 100%. That is a new…no, no, no no, no. That is a new low. his is what the American economy looks like right now.”

Hasan called out the hackers and added:

“Our most brilliant innovators are busy hacking Twitter accounts and YouTube pages to market sh*tty crypto coins. Great stuff overall. We are so cooked folks.”

Hasan warned his audience about jumping to conclusions and believing such posts. He said if “something sounds too good,” viewers should exercise critical thinking instead of believing such things immediately.
