Nanashi Mumei is a popular VTuber with over 1.13M subscribers on YouTube. She is also a musical artist with several songs out, including Mumei. The VTuber joined Hololive in 2021 as part of the second generation of VTubers. Her content revolves around gaming and live performances for her songs and karaoke.

“I will be graduating from Hololive on April 28th, the reasons being internal misalignments with the company and chronic health issues affecting my ability to use my voice over the last two years.”
“I’m in tears”: Fans React to Nanashi Mumei’s Graduation
Mumei’s graduation was a hard pill to swallow for many fans. The streamer has built a loyal community that has expressed its grief about the announcement. Some community members blamed the management for certain issues.

“I really don’t know what to do now and I’m in tears writing all this because I realized that I lost so many this year and all I can do is that I’ll pray for your fast recovery and thank you so much for all those years mumei you guys are my only escape from what I’m going through this year. I don’t know if I’ll be able to be happy again this year. Farewell mumei and please stay strong.”

Some other comments on Hololive’s announcement post stated:
“This is really unfortunate but I hope Mumei gets all the rest she needs… she has always deserved it,” wrote @HaPo_EN.
“how im going to say “Oh hi” now without crying…,” commented @koizumi_arata.
“Man. I know Mumei said not to spread negativity, but why would she then specify “company misalignments ” as one of the reasons. This is Hololive’s 6th graduation in the space of a year : Amelia, Aqua, Fauna, Chloe, Shion and now Mumei all with the same reasons..Im losing faith,” stated @Ecthelion26.
“With both her and Fauna having mentioned “Internal misalignments with the company” this is starting to get ridiculous,” said @StrwbMochii.
