Elden Ring Nightreign sends players on dangerous expeditions to defeat powerful field bosses and Nightlords. Due to its rogue-like nature, the locations across the Limveld shift and reset with each expedition, making each run unique. However, some elements in the game remain static and permanent. Among them, the Castle is a prominent one, which is situated at the center of the map.
Although the Castle is one of the dangerous zones, it also contains valuable rewards and items. While exploring the Castle, you may notice that the central gate near the ramparts is always locked.

How To Open the Castle Gate in Elden Ring Nightreign
To open the Castle gate, you must defeat the boss in the Castle’s basement. This method is static and applies to all runs. However, be wary of the boss inside the basement. It can be quite difficult, especially if encountered on Day 1.
To reach the basement, start from the southern part of the map and follow the river that flows beneath the Castle. This path will eventually take you to a ruined sewer where you will find the jellyfish. Past the Boost Rune Acquisition glowing tree, look to your left side to find an entry point that leads you to the basement of the Castle.
Continue along the path and turn left to enter the room where you will encounter the boss. Defeat the boss to get access to the fog door behind it. In the next room, climb the pile of cages to reach the upper platform and continue through the door on the left. This leads you to the room with the silver chest.
Opening the silver chest allows you to pick one Talisman of your choice from the three. Once you open the chest, the gates become unlocked as you approach them. While the Talisman is the primary reward, be sure to open the wooden chest and smash the crates for additional loot.
