Which means, you will need to defeat enemies and save your runes to increase your item slots instead of leveling up.
In solo mode, all Ghostly Merchants will have the same general item in their stock. But if you are in a multiplayer lobby, then you might encounter multiple Ghostly Merchants with different items. Since you will need to make a lot of other important purchases. It will be entirely up to you to decide when you want to obtain an Item Pouch to increase your Item Slots.
How To Find Merchants in Elden Ring Nightreign
Unfortunately, all the merchant locations in Elden Ring Nightreign are randomized, and they vary from one expedition to another. Even though there is no sure way of finding a merchant, there are certain areas that have higher chances of having a merchant. These include Townships, Forts, and Castles.
