How To Get Cord End in Elden Ring Nightreign

The Cord End is a legendary item that appears randomly in the world. One of the most reliable approaches is breaking the crates at the Chruch. Destroying these boxes likely drops a Cord End. The Cord End can also be obtained from treasure chests and altars or by defeating enemies and bosses. However, obtaining the Cord End is not always guaranteed due to its random drop nature.

Carrying the Cord End takes up one of your inventory slots. So, make sure you are holding the item only when you plan to use it.

How To Use Cord End in Elden Ring Nightreign

The Cord End can only be used at a secret vault located at the center of the map. If you approach the vault without the Cord End, you will get the message ‘Only opens for those who wield merit’.

You can find the vault at the base of the river, along the eastern wall. It is located in the middle of the central Castle and the broken bridge. It is hard to miss, as the location of the door is static. Use the Cord End to open the secret vault. Inside the vault, you will find three Sacrificial Twigs Talismans. It prevents the loss of runes and level drop upon death, making your efforts to open the vault well worth it.
