Healing items are usually a priority, regardless of the game you play. This applies even more to Elden Ring Nightreign, which is filled with combat and hard-hitting bosses around every corner.

One of the most common and effective methods to heal yourself is by using the Flask of Crimson Tears, often referred to as healing flasks. Here is how to obtain healing flask upgrades easily in Elden Ring Nightreign.

If you are familiar with Elden Ring, you might already know about the various churches scattered across the map. In that game, you would collect Sacred Tears at these sites to increase the potency of your flasks. However, this mechanic works a little differently in the spin-off, Nightreign. You will still encounter various churches in this game, but you won’t find Sacred Tears at these locations.

Instead, you will find shining altars inside the churches. Interacting with these shrines will increase the flask charges for your character.

(Note: This does not increase healing flask charges for the entire team, only for the individual. Other party members must interact with the altar themselves to gain the extra charge.)

You can open the map to locate these churches. Planning your expedition around them will be very beneficial. You can usually find three churches per expedition, although this number can increase to four if certain events occur.

Defeating the major boss encountered at the end of the second night is another way to increase your healing flask charges. This becomes especially helpful as you prepare to take on the Nightlord on the final night.

You start with three charges. Increasing this number to seven will also grant you the Replenished Sacred Flask achievement. This is the maximum number of flasks available in the game.

Alternative Healing Methods

Relying solely on healing flasks can be risky, as you may want to save them for later encounters. Fortunately, your flasks replenish when you defeat certain enemy camps. They also fully regenerate when you approach a Site of Grace.

Still, it is wise to have other means of healing available for your characters. These include:

  • Site of Grace
  • HP-restoring flower patches – Interacting with these will heal some of your HP
  • Warming Stones – Consumables that heal the HP of everyone in the area
  • Max HP-increasing Talisman – Found by hunting beetles

That was everything you needed to know about increasing healing flask charges in Elden Ring Nightreign.
