Elden Ring Nightreign has many bosses that you can randomly find roaming around the map for you to defeat. These bosses are known as field bosses and usually have a simplified moveset compared to their Elden Ring counterparts.

Overview of the Ancestor Spirit in Elden Ring Nightreign
The Ancestor Spirit is a large deer-like creature with pale ghostly skin. It is a major field boss, which can also appear as a final boss during Night 1. Unfortunately, the Ancestor Spirit does not have any set spawn points and can be found roaming anywhere on the map.
The Ancestor Spirit has resistance to any magic attack but takes increased damage from fire and holy attacks. Additionally, the boss is resistant to most status effects in the game, along with immunity to sleep and madness.
Tips To Easily Defeat Ancestor Spirit in Elden Ring Nightreign
- The main attacks that the Ancestor Spirit uses are large swing attacks with its antlers and a kick attack with its hind legs.
- The boss is fast, so be prepared to dodge any type of charge attack.
- Carry fire pots to deal some good amounts of chip damage.
- The Ancestor Spirit can do a large leap attack where it bounces in the air twice and then leaps to your location. Dodge this attack to avoid taking major damage.
- You can use Ironeye to safely deal damage to the boss from a distance.
- Challenge this boss with at least 7 to 8 levels. You can safely challenge most major field bosses on Day 2, including the Ancestor Spirit.
- Try to get and consume one Exalted Flesh before starting the fight. The damage reduction can help you out a lot. You can obtain consumables from breaking crates and opening chests.
Finally, when you defeat the Ancestor Spirit, you get one Dormant Power, which is a permanent buff to your character for that expedition.
