During your playthrough, you will need to find different items to unlock the secret Tenna’s TV game show boss fight. This event takes place during the third chapter of the game. Furthermore, the Ice Key will be an important item on your list.
However, it will be sealed behind a door, and you will need to meet some specific requirements in Tenna’s game show to obtain it. In this article, we will discuss how you can get the Ice Key in Deltarune and walk you through the entire process.
How To Get the Ice Key in Deltarune Chapter 3
During the later stages of the third chapter in Deltarune, you will need to find three items to unlock a secret boss. The Ice Key will be among these items. As we discussed, you will need to meet some requirements to obtain it. However, even after you meet the criteria, you can easily miss this particular item.
First, to get the Ice Key, you will need to complete a minigame during the first round of Tenna’s game show. However, it is not as simple as it looks, because even this minigame is locked behind a room. Only S-rank contestants are allowed to access this room. To achieve such a high rank, you will need to score more than 1500 points during the other adventure minigame.
Find the Game Console
Once you have done so, head straight to the changing room. You will be able to identify it by its “S” marking on the front. There, you will find some characters and a vending machine. Don’t worry, you only need to speak to the NPC on the left side of the door. He will then reveal that there are more games you can try in the room behind him.
Go to that room and take a left. You will see an old game console there. Interacting with it will let you know that you need a controller first. So, leave the room, pick up a controller lying on the ground, head back in, and plug it into the console. After that, you will find yourself in a minigame. Now, go to the end of the southern side in the game and take the stairs to the underground passage. There, you will find a sword.
Obtain the Ice Key
Pick up the sword and kill all enemies in the minigame. You will get the required XP to reach level three after doing so. Once you reach the third level, go east and cut down both of the cacti to open a new path. There will be a purple/blue hue in the new area. Continue to kill the enemies there to achieve max level. After that, you will be able to cut down trees.
Now, move back to the starting area of the minigame and start cutting trees in the forest. You can take any direction you want. Continue to clear the forest, and eventually, you will stumble upon a chest. The Ice Key will be inside it. After that, you can go back to find the second required item or continue Tenna’s game show to unlock more minigames, rare items, and alternate story paths.
