The Toxic Axe is Susie’s strongest Chapter 3 weapon in Deltarune. Learn how to find and use it in your build.
The Toxic Axe is one of the best weapons you can get for Susie in Chapter 3 of Deltarune. The weapon boasts high damage, increasing Susie’s attack damage substantially. It is important to find the axe as soon as possible and enhance Susie’s build in order to defeat the challenging bosses in Chapter 3.
Deltarune: Where To Find the Toxic Axe for Susie
After completing the first round of Mr. Antenna’s game show, you are brought to the Green Room to rest before the next round. Here, you can buy the Toxic Axe from the vending machine.
The vending machine is located to the right of the pink “Stage” sign. Interact with the vending machine to open its menu and proceed to the “Buy” section. Locate the Toxic Axe in the list of items on sale and buy it for 80 points. Then, open your inventory and equip the weapon to Susie.
The weapon may not appear initially in the vending machine’s stock, so check it later after completing the next stage of Chapter 3. The primary reason to get the axe for Susie is that it grants a +4 boost to attack, which makes it the strongest weapon for her in Chapter 3. You can also buy the weapon for points to sell it later for $300.
There are other items in the vending machine that you may also want to purchase using points once you have the Toxic Axe. Lode Stone is another valuable item to purchase since it costs only 60 points and boosts TP gain from bullets. You can also buy the Ginger Guard fragrant armor for 111 points. The TV Dinner and Deluxe Dinner replenish HP and are available for 60 points and 120 points, respectively.
Best Susie Build With Toxic Axe
To maximize Susie’s combat effectiveness, there are other items to equip besides the Toxic Axe. Jevilstail is an ideal pick for her armor item as it adds +2 to AT, DF, and Magic. You receive Jevilstail upon defeating Jevil by acting. On the other hand, beating Jevil by fighting rewards you with the Devilsknife, which is a suitable alternative to the Toxic Axe.
The Devilsknife has only one less AT than the Toxic Axe, but increases the damage of Rude Buster due to its +4 Magic stat while decreasing its cost with a special effect. Finally, you should unlock the secret Shadow Mantle and equip it to Susie. This build is especially suited to taking on the challenging bosses awaiting you at the end of Chapter 3.
